ZIP Ville-Marie, a St. Lawrence River
Priority Intervention Zone Committee,
is a non-profit organization incorporated
in October 1996. In 1997, the Committee
held several public consultation activities
to develop goals for an Ecological
Rehabilitation and Action Plan (ERAP*);
in order to respond to the major concerns
of waterfront residents in Montreal
and on the South Shore. The organization
is part of a network of 14 ZIP Committees
overseen by Stratégies Saint-Laurent.
